Saurabh Desai

Director & Mentor

Saurabh Desai is one of the most acclaimed name in present generation wild life photographers as well an official Canon India Maestro & Mentor.

While working as an Engineer for the esteemed company L&T for more than seven year, he never let go his ultimate passion of photographing, which later helped in quitting job and starting up planning of the dream venture of 50mm Media Productions & Visual Poetries.

With over experience of more than 20 years of mentoring students of photography, Saurabh serves as the director and mentor leaning Visual Poetries Centre of Photography.

Ankit Mavchi

Co-Founder & Mentor

Ankit Mavchi on other hand has been profiling himself as a Street, People and Life photographer whose keen interest lies in streets and routine activity of people as well as finding and framing art elements found in usual routine and lives of people.

Graduated in Mechanical engineering followed by a brief stint with Visual Communication over period of two years, Ankit’s work can be found published in numerous digital and print formats around the globe in these years, some of them being in National Geography Magazine, Better Photography, HIPA Finalist, Monovision Photography Awards and many more. 

Both Saurabh & Ankit have served as faculty of Photography in South Gujarat University for B.F.A students.

Keyur Bhatt

Mentor

Youngest of the lot, Keyur brings breath of fresh air and fulfils the generative bridge between the founders and current generation of Students. As an alumni of Symbiosis School of Visual Arts and Photography, his addition brings latest technical and theoretical knowhow into photography. 

All three faculties are actively involved in professional photography and are fully exposed to industry standards and requirement in Photography & Film Making.

Students of Visual Poetries have full access to the workshops & talkshow by some of the acclaimed photography artists of the country who visits our centre during the course duration. invite guest speakers, organise workshops, and host events to provide students with industry insights.

This exposure keeps students updated on the latest developments and helps them understand the practical aspects of working as a photographer.
